Holidays are valuable

Holidays are valuable

Growing up, I remember going to the beach often with my parents, siblings and grandparents. We would pack a cooler and grill a couple of burgers, lay out our towels and have a barbecue. A lot of times, we would walk along the beach and watch the waves come in. And when my parents were younger, they would take the four of us kids down to the beach to play in the sand.

Now that we’re all grown up, we don’t really get to enjoy that feeling as much as we used to. My parents, especially, are very careful about watching their health. They want to be in the sunshine. And even though we all get to the beach during our holidays, they don’t get to see the beach for the first time through their children’s eyes. They get to enjoy their beach trips as they were at my age. That’s what they love the most.

Now that I’m a young adult and have my own family, I love the fact that I’m able to do that for my own children. It’s important to find a beach or beach area that you and your family love the most, so that you can have a lasting experience for years to come.

If I had to choose, I think I’d have to say Cancun, Mexico. I’m not really sure about the whole beach scene in Canada, but I love the warm beach environment of Mexico. It feels very relaxing.
